Replacement Roof: Metal Shake Roof, Charcoal Grey Colour
This log cabin had an old cedar shake roof that had seen better days. The owners wanted to replace it with a carefree metal roof.
Unfortunately, removal of the cedar shakes revealed extensive water damage and rot in a number of areas. Repairs to these areas were required before the new roof could be installed. Large areas of decking were replaced before the new metal shakes were installed. Without the new decking the metal roof would not be properly anchored and serious water issues would have developed in short order.
